Rodney and the Quadropods (Part 3: Ending)

Special officer Warden stepped out of his patrol car and took in the scene. Here he was with seven police squad cars parked outside a house containing a boy and strange mechanical creatures who he controlled.

A quadropod's sensor device peeked out a window and the monitor came on with a clear definition of the scene outside. Rodney saw what was on the screen and knew that this was going to be bigger than the two cops he killed. He commanded ten quadropods to climb onto the roof and fire on the police below. The quadropods obeyed and were on the rooftop in seconds.

Laser devices came from inside the machines and fired at the police who were caught off-guard by this sight. All seven of the cars were made unusable and five officers were killed and two injured. This cause Warden to call in S.W.A.T. for assistance. By the time the S.W.A.T. vehicle got there, only five police officers along with Warden were left. They took refuge in the nearby houses because the cars were destroyed by missiles sent from the quadropods.

A S.W.A.T officer by the name of Roger Jones was in charge of this team. He sent a reconaissance team to assess the situation and they made a plan of attack. One S.W.A.T member drove the car and the quadropods destroyed it as ordered, but while this was happening, the rest of the S.W.A.T. team took up positions behind the fence of the next house nearest to the one occupied by the hostiles quadropods and their controller. Snipers shot down the quadropods on the roof and the coaxed the other ones to reveal themselves through the windows and these they also destroyed.

Jones led the team into the house and expertly destroyed the remaining quadropods who Rodney had ordered to defend him. He locked himself inside a room and wished that the police officers would go away, but they eventually found him and took him back to the police station.

Rodney's family was disappointed when they found out that he had killed his sister and her boyfriend. He was sent to a young boys' prison where he underwent therapy and a lot of other helpful things that the authorities hoped would make him less of a menace to society. He was released three years later and went back to his family. He stayed away from computers from then on, and made sure never to get personally involved with machines again.

THE END.
